Steve Habusta
Executive Director
In 2022 Steve Habusta became the Chippewa County Community Foundation’s 5th executive director.
Steve was born and raised in Toledo. OH and came to Sault Ste. Marie in 1998 to attend Lake Superior State University. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management with an emphasis on business and sport management. Steve spent a successful 20 year career in full time ministry as a pastor.
Steve has a heart and passion for making a positive difference in his community. He has years of experience, organizational leadership, community development and community outreach. In addition to his role at the Communtiy Foundation, Steve also serves as a elected city commisionor in Sault Ste. Marie and the head coach of Sault Area High School’s varsity swim and dive programs, but his favorite role is dad to his four amazing kids.

Nancy Robinson
Office Manager
Nancy began as a volunteer in the Community Foundation’s offices in 2021 and has been on staff at CCCF since 2023. Nancy oversees all operational aspects of the Community Foundation and is the “first face” of the organization. If you have questions regarding your fund at CCCF or simply want to learn more about setting up a fund agreement, please contact Nancy.
In addition to serving as the Office Manger at CCCF, Nancy and her husband Kevin formed the Katie Robinson Memorial Showcase, an all-female youth hockey event in Sault Ste. Marie in memory of their daughter Katie, who was killed in 2021. This event raises money each year for the Katie Robinson Memorial Scholarship and the Diane Peppler Resource Center and has players from all throughout Michigan and Ontario.
